Job description

The company has recently reached a key milestone, with its first asset installed on an industrial site in less than a year. As demand from industrial players accelerates, Epyr is now structuring its sales organisation to prepare for the next phase of growth.

We are seeking a Sales Manager to support Epyr’s commercial growth and to expand our market outreach in France. This role will be critical to help educate the market, build long-term commercial traction, and convert early interest into concrete projects.

 

You will play a hands-on role across the full commercial cycle, from early-stage prospecting to deal closing, in a context characterized by long sales cycles (12–24 months), complex stakeholder ecosystems, and a strong need for market education.

 

You will contribute directly to building a robust, structured, and scalable sales pipeline, while working closely with internal technical and financial teams.

Key Responsibilities:

​​

  • Own and manage complex sales cycles end-to-end

Prospect, qualify, nurture, and convert opportunities over long decision-making cycles involving multiple stakeholders (industrial, financial, executive).

Personally lead or support negotiations and secure long-term client relationships.

​​

  • Strong focus on prospection and pipeline development

Actively identify new leads and accounts, structure and enrich the commercial pipeline, and put in place disciplined pipeline management and forecasting practices.

​

  • Define and execute the sales strategy within your perimeter

Identify priority market segments and targets, contribute to go-to-market strategy, and translate strategic objectives into concrete commercial actions.

​

  • Educate the market and represent Epyr externally

Promote Epyr’s solutions at industry events, conferences, and through partnerships. Play a key role in explaining the value of thermal energy storage and Epyr’s differentiators to a market still under construction.

  • Coordinate with internal teams to create value for clients

Work closely with energy, engineering, and financial teams to build tailored solutions, and high-impact commercial proposals adapted to each client’s constraints.

Profile

Must Have​​

  • Master’s degree from a leading engineering, business school, or university

  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on sales or business development experience in industrial or engineering environments (industrial players, engineering companies, energy services, infrastructure, or consulting with strong commercial exposure)

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex B2B sales processes with long cycles and multiple stakeholder, with proven ability to build trusted client relationships and drive deals forward

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Professional proficiency in English

  • Strong motivation for the energy transition and climate impact

Nice-to-Have:​

  • Knowledge of energy markets and EU / French decarbonization policies 

  • Understanding of financial engineering (3rd party financing, SPV…) 

​

Soft Skills:

  • Curiosity, autonomy, and ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders 

  • Structured thinking and ability to prioritize 

  • Entrepreneurial, resourceful, and comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
