France's first electrified thermal energy storage unit

Electrifying heat at competitive cost
The unit charges when power prices are low, and it offers the grid a new flexibility resource through French TSO's reserve markets, protecting industrial competitiveness while strengthening energy sovereignty.
From concept to commissioning in six months
Designed, built and commissioned in under six months, the unit supplies up to a quarter of the steam demand at WEPA's Troyes mill under a long-term heat offtake agreement.
Side by side with WEPA
Fast to deploy, seamless for site operations and free of capex, our approach earned the early trust of WEPA, which has backed Epyr since 2024 and opened its Troyes site to the technology.

"
The reason we turned to Epyr's solution was its promise of fast, seamless decarbonisation for site operations. Today, that promise has been kept: in under six months, with zero disruption to our production, the installation is fully operational and helps us to implement our decarbonisation strategy.
